Hi, I have just joined this forum and would like to say hello to all the other Cock Robin fans here.
I have been a fan since first hearing a song whilst on holiday in Tenerife in 1995. The song I heard was 'Just around the corner'. I had to buy it when I got back to England. The band was virtually unheard of here though and I had to order the 1987 album 'After here through midland' from the states ! I loved every track on that album and wanted more. I now have 9 albums but some tracks are repeated on them, and also the 3 albums from Peter Kingsbery, 'A different man' 'once in a million' and 'Mon inconnue' the mainly french language album.
What I would really like is any help in finding videos in pal format dvd or vhs live or the videos of the band. I have been looking wherever I can over the past 14 years but although I have found out there was 2 videos released, ie, 'Live au grand rex' smv49867 and 'Only the very best' 6584351 in 1992, I have never been able to find a copy. Sad

Am I going to be eternally looking or can some very nice person put me out of my misery by making a copy of theirs ? I would be forever grateful. I just can't understand why they are not commercially available somewhere in the world ! I class Cock Robin as one of the greatest bands ever !!!

To answer your question concerning the videos, there has been no official DVD release so far of their live sets and/or of their promotional videos, they only exist in VHS format and are quite difficult to find. Some fellow Forum members might be able to help you and copy their VHS onto DVD.

Concerning their latest Live album, as far as I know it's not yet available to buy in shops in the UK (or maybe in London) but you can download it from amazon.co.uk for £5,99 (about €7 - that's what I did) which is quite a bargain...

Hi Regis and thanks for your quick and courteous reply to my posting.
I do hope somebody will see my request and be able to help out, I will of course cover any outlay in cost.
I will check Amazon also but I prefer to buy the album when it is released here. Hopefully not too long away.
I was pleased to read that they are embarking on a tour this month, if only in France ! This should bring a bit of welcome publicity for the band. If they would only release some back catalogue on DVD it would make me a happy man!!!
