Hi there!

I must say I agree with Jean-Paul Rouve on this one. Most people seem to have forgotten that the first Cock Robin album contained their biggest hits ever.

For this reason, my favourite CR album is the 1st one. It's a recording that I hold very dear to my heart, as I was only 11 when I first heard such beautiful tunes as "The promise you made", "Thought you were on my side" or "When your heart is weak". In addition, the rest of the album was also fantastic. I remember feeling really joyful and glad to be alive after listening to, for example, "Just when you're having fun", "Born with teeth", "Once we might have known" or "More than willing". That album was full of young talent and fresh vitality. Clive Wright was superb on the guitar ans so was Louis Molino with the drums. It was like a celebration of life and of being young. Cool

I'm not in any way saying that the other albums were worse. "After here" was memorable and touching, with a string of powerful melodies that will always stay on my mind.

"First love/last rites" was also stunning, especially with the inclusion of the mariachi horns in tracks like "One joy bang" or "Worlds apart". Also, "Stumble and fall" was a sublime work of art.

As for the new album, all I can say is I'm extremely delighted to check that Peter hasn't lost his fine and rare ability to produce haunting tunes and impressive songs. I'm especially fond of "Superhuman", "Fair enough", "Body over mind" and "Italian soul". It's also been a great surprise to see Clive back in the band.

So, LONG LIVE COCK ROBIN!!! Smile

Pour moi c'est "After here". J'adore le son épuré, le claquement de la batterie, les hits, et la pochette ! Bref, tout y est !

C'est vrai que meme , si j'ai plutot une petite préfèrence pour leur dernier album , le 2ème était également très réussi . (on se demande lequel ne l'est pas ?!) . J'ai en particulier un petit faible sur ce second opus , pour la chanson THE BIGGEST FOOL OF ALL !! Que je trouve très rythmée , et ou en effet , le son et la batterie sont excellents !!
